| Mavra Volia ( 5 Km. from Pyrgi) is a beach with small black pebbles, ’cause of an upheaval of the volcano overlooking the beach at the Prehistoric Area. There are three beaches, one next to the other, under the same name, with deep, dark blue waters. There are apartments and studios, cafes and taverns offering fresh seafood, at Emporio, nearby. |

lodo, netherlands | | Comment: | i remember this superb beach very well.visited it many times spring 2004 during a marvelous chios vacation. if i recall well it is also called "black pebble beach"??
i plan to visit this beach once more in the future because i remember a field of (succulent?)plants growing on the rocks next to the path going to the right beaches and i like to have a sample.but there are many more reasons to visit chios again!!
