Kalimasia

Kalimasia is one of the island’s largest mastic- villages, 13 km South of Chios Town. It is built on a plain with the deep green and olive tree being the predominant vegetation of the area. Inside the village one can see the remains of the medieval towers, the well-preserved and impressive churches. There is an interesting Women’s Handicraft Association which provides a great contribution towards the preservation of the area’s and the whole island’s customs. There is also a Cultural center in the village. Kallimasia is the center of Municipality of Ionia. In the surrounding area, is found the nunnery of Panagia Plakidiotissa which was built on the remains of an earlier nunnery dated in the 16th century.

He was a real cool dude at school but everyone laughed as he would always just sit there and eat food and not respond when you spoke to him !!! Man he could eat!!! Although it was sad to see him leave the village, the food stocks suddenly rose about 500%. Please get back to me if you are related to George !!
