Charter Flights

Most of the cheaper flights from European Countries to Greece are Charters, which are sold either with a package holiday or as a flight-only option. The flights have fixed and unchangeable outward and return dates.
For longer stays or more flexibility, or if you are travelling out of season (when few charters are available). You’ll need a scheduled flight. As with charters, these are offered under a wide variety of fares and are again often sold off at discount by agents.
Travel agents sell charter flights to Chios, which usually operate from late April to late October. Even the high-street chains frequently promote flight-only deals or discount all-inclusive holidays, when their parent companies need to off-load their seat allocations.
It’s worth noting that non-EU nationals who buy charter tickets to Greece must buy a return ticket, coming back after no fewer than three days and no more than four weeks, and must accompany it with an accommodation Voucher for at least the first few nights of their stay -check that the ticket satisfies these conditions or you could be refused entry. In practice, the accommodation Voucher has become a formality; it has to name an existing hotel but you’re not expected to use it.
